Our clients for this project were a young family, looking to add more living space to their Victorian Terrace in St Albans

When elongating an existing narrow property, the centre of the home always ends up becoming darker. By providing a glass lean-to roof, we were able to bring more light to the middle of the property.

The same flooring was proposed to be used both internally and externally, which along with the flush thresholds and a pair of slim framed Crittall doors, blurs the line between the indoors and outdoors.

The result is a welcoming and sociable space which allows the clients to enjoy the garden as a seamless extension of the internal spaces.
